RUBBER SEALS and where to find them! 🚌
When we were restoring our van, we used to receive many messages from people asking where we ordered our new seals from. This post is for those who are still looking for new ones but don’t know where to find them:
1. basiscampingberlin-online.de (we ordered ours from there).
2. Mercedes dealership could order exactly the same ones as Basic Camping Berlin had on their website from their central stock in Germany. The price was almost the same, at least here in Sweden.
There were about 100 pcs left of one sort (don’t remember which one), and some - even less.
The good thing about going to a dealership is that they can see exact amount of every seal or part you need.
3. You can also order new seals from eBay. Search for a seller called Mr.Merco.

We found all of the seals we needed except for the ones for the door windows!
Non of the suppliers above had them in stock. So we had to restore our old seals with some grease. Luckily they were not cracked or damaged. We made them softer and more flexible by soaking them in grease for a night before putting them back in.
The seals we ordered are the ones around all the doors, around the windshield and the two triangular windows in front. All the seals we ordered cost us ca 530$ shipment included.

If you are planning to change your seals around the tailgate, Basic Camping Berlin has some seals that you can buy per meter. We’ll probably order a few meters for our tailgate too.

When ordering new seals on the Internet, don’t forget to double check the sizes of your windows, since there are two versions of this bus - the “high” version that has ca 78 cm high windows and the “low” version with windows that are ca 68cm high! 👍
